The standardized PROFIBUS PA communication allows integration in fully automatic process cycles. The measured values, all device states and messages are transmitted online via PROFIBUS to the control or maintenance station.
The tried and tested PROFIBUS protocol according to EN 50 170 reliably guarantees data security. The digital transmission of the measured values guarantees maximum resolution and precision.

All device parameters can be read and written. The data exchange takes place consistently in accordance with the PNO communication model “Profile for Analyzers”, version 3.0.
The device operation may therefore take place via standardized operating devices or programs (e.g. Siemens PDM) from the maintenance station.
The PROFIBUS interface
Communication and the power supply take place simultaneously via the bus – similarly to conventional 2-wire devices. The bus interface is galvanically separated from the device. This prevents compensation currents and measurement interference due to unfavorable grounding conditions. The Stratos® PROFIBUS 2221 devices facilitate unlimited operation in hazardous areas (zone 1).
