Just as hydrogen is bonded to oxygen to form a water molecule, a manufacturing company is bonded to its most precious resource: personnel. Keeping them close together and under one roof is ideal. Previously, the entire team, from sales to the glass shop and HR to boxing, was spread out across five different locations across Houston. In July 2015, we moved into a newly purchased campus that encompassed 70,000 square feet of building space, on 4.8 acres of land. The vast space presents significant opportunity for substantial growth.
The building was custom designed for all aspects of electrode manufacturing. Our new facility provides a clinical laboratory manufacturing environment. Each segment of the production process flows seamlessly into the next. This, coupled with our increased storage facility, is improving every facet of our production.
The new building combined an equipment, personnel, and safety upgrade all into one With safety a top priority, our 130 new and veteran staff members go through rigorous safety training, ensuring that all areas surpass safety code requirements. The state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment increased to include redundancies for all machinery and personnel (and a few mascot cats). This is great news for scheduled maintenance, as production is uninterrupted.
With a more streamlined flow and efficient production process, we have now expanded every department, from sales and purchasing to all aspects of production, including our Research and Development team. With our new team in place, we are working on new product development and continuously improving on existing products. Facility and campus tours are always welcome. Please contact us if you would like to schedule one.
VLC is committed to remaining a leader in the industry and our bonded team is ensuring that we do so.
